The idea for this story comes from a creative writing course that I took back in 2003. I decided to write one for my dog, telling her story in five sentences.
Read what I wrote in 2003.

Bumper's Life in Five Sentences
Thrown away like used Kleenex in 2000, I wandered fields of goldenrod to a farm when the sun remained low and the nights froze water. A woman with hair
that matched the color of straw upon which I slept carried me home, tended my wounds, and silenced the growling in my belly. She tucked me into bed each evening and told me stories
that calmed my fears. When I see her, my heart releases a joy that plays with the clouds, and I return the gift she gave me long ago: Love. My name is Bumper, and I'm a part Schnauzer
and part Spaniel.
