10-Year Forecast

Here's the forecast for the next 10 days as of 5/15/2024.

This is the Dow industrials forecast for the next 10 years.

Year 2028 is going to be a down year if the forecast is correct and there will be sharp corrections in 2030 and 2032.

This is the Nasdaq composite for the next 10 years.

The mid to end of 2028 is going to be rough with the index falling. Likewise, 2032 will be a down year, too, if the forecast is correct.

This is the S&P 500 index forecast for the next 10 years.

Year 2028 will struggle and 2032 could be a down year, too.

Lessons

The lessons I draw from the articles above are:

• If a major shock occurs that takes price down dramatically, buy soon after, perhaps within a week. This occurred on 9-11 and Black Monday (the crash of 1987). Early entry means you get in near the bottom of a fast recovery. The downside is, the recovery will be like an ugly double bottom or a dead-cat bounce -- a bounce upward with the second low above the first. That is fine so long as you get in near the low and not near the top of the bounce.
• For bear markets, like the crash of 1929, the 2000-2002 bear market, and the Covid Crash of 2020, then you have to call the bottom correctly before adding new positions. Taking your time before jumping in may mean missing a few points of the rise, but it helps avoid markets that climb some before continuing down.
